2024: Basket Weave Tweed

The combination of classic tweed and my own rendition of tweed fabric brought to life in the custom fabric reimagines the intricate woven patterns of rivercane and white oak found in traditional Cherokee basketry. The design features interlocking checks and layered textures, mimicking the appearance of a woven basket, yet with a refined, vibrant color palette. The blending of patterns pays homage to the ancestral craftsmanship and modern elegance that defines Cherokee artistry and fashion.

This collection was inspired by classic 90s and early 2000s Chanel and our own Cherokee basketry designs. The idea behind these looks is that they could be dressed up or down at the office or at an elegant night out.
